Lewis Pugh with Paul Blezard

There is much that is heroic about UN Patron of the Oceans Lewis Pugh. Not just because he has freezingly risked his life to swim in the South and North poles, nor that he gritted out a huge effort to swim the English Channel, no, not across but lengthways. It’s that he risks his life to raise awareness of the state of our marine habitats and passionately believes we can repair the damage we’ve done through Marine Protected Areas.

That he takes his message to everyone from Presidents to astronauts, makes this aquanaut a true hero to us. When you’ve seen him and heard what he has to say, we hope he’ll be a hero to you too.
